ယေန႔ ျမန္မာ စံေတာ္ခ်ိန္ ညေန ၃နာရီ ၁၀ မိနစ္ခန္႔တြင္ မဂၤလာေတာင္ညြန္႔ ့ျမိဳ႕ နယ္တြင္ ဗုံးေပါက္ကြဲ မႈ ျဖစ္ပြားေၾကာင္း သတင္းရရွိသည္။ အဆို ပါေပါက္ကြဲမႈတြင္ လူ ၉ ဦးထက္ မနည္း ေသဆုံးျပီး လူ ၆၂ ေက်ာ္ ဒဏ္ရရွိသြားေၾကာင္း မ်က္ျမင္ မ်ား အေျပာအရ သိရွိရသည္။

ကန္ေတာ္ၾကီး သၾကၤန္ေရကစားသည့္ အနီးတြင္ ေပါက္ကြဲျပီး က်ယ္ေလာင္ေသာ အသံ ၃ ၾကိမ္ ၾကားလိုက္ရသည့္ဟု မ်က္ျမင္ သက္ေသတစ္ဦးက ေျပာျပသည္။

Burma blasts kill at least nine

At least nine people were killed and many wounded in three explosions at a new year water festival in the former Burmese capital of Yangon, hospital sources said.

The government has not blamed any group or indicated the cause of the explosions. There were no immediate claims of responsibility.

Witnesses said they heard three explosions at a pavilion alongside Kandawgyi Lake. Hospital sources said nine people had died.

"Some people were wounded but we are not in a position to give you further detailed information since necessary investigations are still in progress," police said.

Most of the pavilions on U Htaungbo Road, along the scenic lakeside, are run by companies close to the authorities.
